A bit of history...

The KIBERone project started when Olga Apalkova could not find a decent IT education for her 7-year-old child

She didn't like outdated study groups that provided irrelevant knowledge

Since Olga worked for a long time as a strategic development director in large holdings, she managed to create a modern school with the help of a team of friends from Silicon Valley

They suggested the most promising directions for children and helped to write the training programs

Olga recruited only the best specialists in their field to the team. To this day, there is not a single random person in the project, and you are now among them

We are constantly working to improve the project, so we would appreciate it if you would suggest ideas for the development. This is not obligatory, but very welcome

Olga Apalkova

Olga has 3 degrees and is a member of the Russian Guild of Marketers:

Pedagogical education in the field of mathematics and information technology

Strategic Marketing. Russian-American Institute of Business

MBA. Moscow Business School

Concept of the CYBERschool

The head office of the company is located in the UAE, Dubai, and the other branches operate under franchise with clearly defined standards and have their own manager, who always stays in touch with the employees and takes an active part in the development of the CYBERschool in the accredited territory
All children are divided into 3 age categories and each age group has its own program
There is no single training course to choose from, children study everything in a particular order

CYBERschool is not a short training course, but a full-fledged digital education for children from 6 to 14 years old

Junior group

(6 – 8 years old)

8 years of study

Middle group

(9 – 11 years old)

6 years of study

Senior group

(12 – 14 years old)

3 years of study

In the branch structure, the tutor always works with the administrative assistant
The sales manager or supervisor arranges the training and work schedules (you will discuss this in more detail during the first days of employment)

If there is something you lack to fulfill your work tasks, make sure you discuss it with your manager or supervisor

Employee Code of Conduct

We have a dress code for the office staff – business casual. Tutors and assistants in classes are always dressed in custom corporate apparel:
  • branded top (you will be given it free of charge, but you should keep your clothes clean)
  • jeans
  • white or black shoes
Tutors and assistants take a picture of themselves and send it to the manager before the start of the class. This is how we make sure that you are there on time and that you look in line with the corporate style
Each tutor and administrative assistant is assigned to the groups of children on certain days, which they teach on a regular basis. If for some reason the tutor is not available for their shift, they should find their own replacement and notify the manager 2 days in advance.
Each employee must complete a short training from the project starter pack. You will be given access to this by your supervisor or manager

It's important!

Our team abides by the basic code of etiquette:

we do not swear

we don't talk to our colleagues about work during meals

we are not late for work. Tutors come to work 20 minutes before the class to set up computers

we don't discuss salaries

we always look neat (fresh clothes, nice light perfume, clean hair)

Non-Discriminatory Policy:

KIBERone admits students of 6 to 14 years old of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of our educational policies, admissions policies, and other school-administered programs.

Equal Employment Opportunity Rights:

KIBERone provides equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants. Employment at KIBERone is based solely on an individual's merit and qualifications. KIBERone is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity and does not discriminate in the terms, conditions, or privileges of employment on account of race, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, physical or mental disability, or religion or otherwise as may be prohibited by federal and state law.

Interaction with parents and children

5 tips on how to properly give feedback to parents after class or over the phone

01

Take into account the situation and remember that for a parent, their child is the very best

02

Avoid aggressive feedback

03

Talk about actions, not qualities

04

Avoid assumptions and use only facts

05

Don't forget to praise children

(For example, say things like, «That was a challenging problem», «Oh, nice solution!», «I can see your effort», «You did it right this time». However, never evaluate a student, «You're smart, savvy, good at math» and so on)

Tell children that «Mistakes can and should be made – they are a sign of development».
Over time, students stop being afraid of doing the wrong thing and start solving problems on their own, rather than by analogy with the solutions provided

Accept the student's knowledge as it is

«No matter how much you know now, the main thing is to try to learn more»

– is one of those phrases that we often repeat at our classes. Its beauty is that it is suitable for both strong and weaker students

Understanding that it is possible to improve and develop from any level, that nothing is missing or irrevocably lost, loosens up students and gives them a chance to open up
